To create awareness about cleanliness among the students, a visit for the students of GRRITS, Patel Nagar, Dehradun was organized.  In the forenoon the students were made acquainted about the activities and achievements of the institute through museum and experimental farm visit. Later on in the afternoon lecture were delivered by the scientists on the subject ‘importance of cleanliness in our lives, the students also shared their views about the importance of cleanliness.

 Exposure Visit for Central School Students during Swchhata Pakhwara Programme on 26.10.2016


  Swachhata Pakhwara programme was organised at Experimental Farm, ICAR-VPKAS, Hawalbagh, Almora as per directions of the ICAR, New Delhi during 16-30 October, 2016. Under this on 26.10.2016, 120 students of Kendriya Vidhyalaya, Almora  with their teachers participated in Swachhata awareness programme and an exposure visit of  experimental farm and museum at Hawalbagh.

   This was coordinated by Mr. Tilak Mondal and Dr. Anuradha Bhartiya under the guidance of nodal officer Dr. N. Chandra. During this program students were made aware about different aspects and importance of cleanliness and personal hygiene, effects of pollution on health, environment and students were motivated to incorporate the habit of keeping their home, workplace, ambience and society neat and clean. In the farm visit, students were exposed to different vegetable crops cultivated in poly houses by Dr. Ganesh Chaudhry  and also about importance of  honey bees and  apiary management by Mr. J. P. Gupta. An interaction session was also conducted in which students were motivated for team work and students also given their views on significance of cleanliness in their daily life.
